When you purchase from any Always Wear Red collection you can be confident that you buying-best.

Please use our bespoke packaging to protect your purchase and, with the right care, your item can last lifetimes.

The following information should be useful for you, even though the behaviour of natural materials is inexact.

Caring for 100% Cashmere, Merino Wool and Lambswool

Please don’t worry if your cashmere, merino wool or lambswool ‘pills’ a little when first worn. This is a few loose fibres that can be easily removed by hand. In time, careful removal in this way will soften the garment to the touch, improving it with age.

You can press cashmere, merino wool and lambswool, protected by a clean white tea towel, with a cool iron.

Whenever possible, please dry clean your cashmere, merino wool and lambswool pieces from our collection. You can carefully cool wash our unembroidered cashmere, merino wool and lambswool pieces. Dry them flat, naturally - never on hot surfaces.

The best materials gets better with age. Always Wear Red cashmere, merino wool and lambswool knitted or woven are very stable so holds their original shape excellently. With the right care they can become your go-to item for many years.

Caring for 100% Silk

Always completely un-knot a 100% silk tie after wearing and place it back into its box or hang it up neatly.

Fold your 100% silk pocket square too, again preferably back into its original Always Wear Red box.

Cleaning silk is really hard. So the first principle is simply to take care. Please be careful when eating and drinking.

If accidents do happen, for 100% silk, dry cleaning is not your friend. And neither is blotting with water. If there’s a spillage, take your tie off quickly, dab with a paper towel and (if you have some) - stain remover. But as some stain remover discolours silk, that is risky too. Please be careful as we can't be held responsible for anything that might happen to your Always Wear Red Silks as a result of spillages or any attempt to clean them.

Caring for Merino Wool mix

Our Merino Wool mix socks are just the right mix to balance comfort and luxury with longevity and elasticity.

They require no special washing treatment whatsoever. No hotter than 30 degrees and you should be fine.
